Discussion (Zoom): Change is On the Way for Allotment Sites

Between an increasing demand for growing space and the legal requirement for local authorities to publish new rules and regulations for allotments, how sites in Glasgow are to be organised and managed will be up for review and debate this year. GAF wants to make sure that the views and experiences of local Allotment Association members and groups interested in opening up new sites are central to that process.

This open forum is intended as a starter to sharing our experiences and concerns and beginning to identify key issues that we feel need to be addressed in deciding on the future organisation and management of plot holding in the City.


Post-event update:

A GAF working group was formed and a series of 3 meetings were held, leading to the publication of a draft model constitution, set of rules, and scheme of delegation.
